A request for an automatic pump may mean pressure control, level control, scheduling or remote operation. Identify the requirement before recommending an accessory; a remote switch is not a pressure or level sensor.
For Indonesian pump shops, equipment distributors, panel builders and installers, automatic control can mean water supplied when a tap opens, tank filling, scheduled irrigation or switching without walking to the pump. Understanding the requirement is more useful than selecting a switch from motor power alone.
HONEST supplies control switches for compatible pump and equipment circuits, rather than pump units. Subject to electrical suitability, these can accompany new pump sales or upgrade existing installations, giving merchants an operating solution to offer alongside the pump.
Two remote options dealers can offer customers
HT-9220KG lets customers switch compatible equipment with a handheld remote instead of returning to the pump each time. HT-2401G uses HONEST-IOT for customers who need phone operation, switch-status viewing or schedules when away from the site.
| Option | How the customer uses it | Suitable customer need |
|---|---|---|
| HT-9220KG handheld remote | Remote and local-button switching; 1–5 km open-area configuration options | Working around fields or equipment and reducing walks to the switch |
| HT-2401G 4G control | App switching, switch state, schedules, cycles and shared access | Managing from elsewhere or sharing operation with authorised staff |
Both add operating methods. Automatic responses to pressure, water level or other conditions still require suitable sensors, logic and protection designed by the installer.

In a suitable domestic water system, a pressure switch controls the pump in response to pipe pressure. With a common pressure-based automatic pump, opening a tap reduces pressure; the pump starts when its starting condition is met and stops when the stopping pressure is reached after the tap closes.
This suits water supply that follows demand. The exact conditions depend on the pump and controller design. Automatic water supply does not necessarily include phone control, constant pressure, dry-running protection or timers.
2. Level control responds to water in a tank or sump
Tank filling usually depends on water level. A compatible float switch or level sensor can trigger starting or stopping at specified levels. Filling and draining require different logic, designed for the intended process.
An ordinary remote switch cannot tell whether a tank is full. Automatic filling, overflow interlocks or stopping at a low source level require suitable sensors, control circuitry and protection.
3. Timers follow a plan rather than measuring irrigation demand
A timer switches at set times. A cycle task repeats configured running and stopping periods. Both are useful for water supply or irrigation with a planned operating pattern.
Determine runtime from actual flow and water requirements before selecting operating hours. Review the plan when rainfall, crop stage or source conditions change. Without additional sensors, a timer cannot assess soil moisture, rainfall or remaining tank water.
4. Handheld and phone control reduce trips to the pump
HONEST HT-9220KG controls compatible equipment with a paired handheld remote. Its series offers different 1–5 km open-area configurations. Select the specific model for the distance, antenna and installation. Radio remote operation does not depend on a mobile network and suits work around fields, warehouses or equipment.
The overseas HONEST HT-2401G uses 4G and the HONEST-IOT App. Phone operation is not limited by the direct point-to-point range of a handheld remote, making it useful after leaving the site. The phone and controller need working network services; no on-site Wi-Fi router is required.
HT-2401G provides switch-status viewing, schedules, cycle tasks, shared access and local buttons. A matching handheld remote depends on the selected kit. The overseas version includes one year of data, renewable directly through manufacturer HONEST. Power-loss alerts are primarily sent by SMS to a phone and are supported wherever mobile control is supported.
An ON switch status alone does not prove that water is flowing. Actual flow, pressure or level requires appropriate measurement.

5. Choose around your daily work
A shop can begin by asking whether the customer needs a button in the field or also needs management after leaving the site. Compare HT-9220KG range configurations for the first need and HT-2401G for the second. Then ask about operating schedules, tank filling and other automatic conditions.
| Your need | Main control method | What to match |
|---|---|---|
| Supply water when taps are used | Pressure control | Pressure settings and pump suitability |
| Fill a tank or drain a sump | Level control | Sensors and filling/draining logic |
| Run at planned times or intervals | Timers and cycles | Water demand, runtime and starts |
| Press a button from the field | HT-9220KG handheld remote | Configuration range and installation |
| Manage by phone away from the site | HT-2401G 4G | Local network version and control circuit |
A qualified designer can combine these methods in a control circuit. Do not simply connect switches together. Define how manual, remote, timed and interlocked commands interact, while retaining necessary motor and site protection.
6. Check the motor load before choosing a controller
Prepare the pump nameplate, voltage, number of phases, rated power and current, starting method and panel photographs. A motor is an inductive load; starting current and duty affect contactor selection. A relay current rating cannot be directly treated as a pump motor power rating.
HT-2401G requires an AC contactor for 380V equipment. Certain HONEST 380V switch configurations support pump motors below 22 kW with phase-loss protection. This capability belongs to those series and configurations, not all remote switches or HT-2401G. Phase-loss protection does not replace every other motor protection requirement.
Adding remote control to sales and installation work
New pump packages: offer a suitable switch as an optional accessory. Explain separately what the pump, controller, contactor and installation service include. A simple ON/OFF demonstration with compatible equipment helps customers unfamiliar with remote switches understand the function.
Existing pump upgrades and panel projects: inspect the pump, supply, starting method and existing circuit before deciding whether control can be added. Offer easier switching, scheduling or phone management, rather than claiming increased pump flow or a guaranteed profit.
HONEST develops, manufactures and sells switches in multiple voltage and power configurations and supports OEM/ODM. Dealers can discuss samples, control accessories and wholesale orders around the pumps they commonly sell. Electrical capability remains model-specific, rather than applying one series rating to every product.
Hypothetical selection example: for an irrigation customer who stays near the field and wants fewer walks to the pump, introduce handheld control first. For a customer who leaves the farm but needs operation or saved schedules, explain the 4G App option. Check electrical suitability for either route rather than offering one configuration for every job.

Three questions dealers are often asked
Does a remote switch automatically provide constant pressure or stop at a full tank? Remote operation alone does not. Pressure or level-based operation needs the matching sensing and control arrangement; remote control mainly changes where the operator can act.
Does every HT-9220KG configuration reach 5 km? No. The series offers different 1–5 km open-area configurations. Select the range for the exact model ordered.
Can it be added to a pump the customer already owns? Assess it as a retrofit: check the nameplate, supply, starting method, existing control circuit and protection before selecting a compatible arrangement.
